Arvard Kenneth (Ken) AdamsApril 30, 1930-April 19, 2012Arvard Kenneth (Ken) Adams age 81 of Huntsville AL, passed peacefully into Glory on April 19, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Yardelle, Arkansas on April 30, 1930 and served his country as a Korean War Navy Veteran. He retired after a distinguished NASA career as a test engineer on the Saturn and Skylab programs as well as the early Space Shuttle development testing program. He had been a long standing member at Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he served in leadership positions both in the church and on the Board of Directors at Westminster Christian Academy. He was known by many to be a man characterized by generous giving and warm was preceded in death by his parents, Oza and Floyd Adams, his beloved wife, Ruby Katherine Adams and two granddaughters, Ansley Marie and Bailey May Ness. He leaves behind a legacy of five children with their spouses: Thomas Edward Adams (Ellise), Suzanne Marie Ness (Jeff), Kenneth Martin Adams (Cindy), Lisa Gayle Wiley (Mike) and Laura Kay Bannister (David) in addition to ten grandchildren and three granddaughters-in-law. He is also survived by his sisters, Glena Jo Swan of DeKalb, IL and Ardath Marie Knight of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and his brother, James Devoe (J.D.) Adams of Yardelle, Arkansas.
