Art Sandoval, 88, peacefully passed on to a more beautiful and blessed life , on October 19, 2012.  He left a legacy of love to his children to comfort them, and carried their love to their beloved mother in Heaven.  

Art was preceeded in death by his beautiful wife, Erma Lopez Sandoval.  He is survived by daughters, Catherine Sisneros, Sara (Tito) Archuleta, Sophie (Ted) Starnes, Carmel (Jim) Owens, sons, Rudy, Gerald and Arnold (Tammy Tipton) Sandoval, grandchildren, Ingrid, JoJo, Jason, Annie (Adam), Greta, David (Contessa), Ted, Kim, Stefan and Lucas, eleven great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.  He is also survived by three brothers, Toby, Alex, and Fernando from CA, adopted sister, Ophelia (Rudy) Watson, sister, Helen Lopez, and brother-in-law, Audelio Lopez, Molly Lopez, sister-in-law, many special nieces and nephews, and special friend and caregiver, Patsy Romero.

Art Sandoval was born and raised in Abiquiu, NM and moved to Santa Fe, NM in 1968.  He retired as Assistant Building Superintendent, New Mexico State Capitol, in 1991.  He was also a proud World War II Veteran and an active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
