Arturo San Jose Tecson peacefully passed away on October 13, 2021, in the presence of his family, after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. He was born in Manila, Philippines, on March 13, 1938, as the 4th of 11 children. Arturo received a Pre-Medical degree in 1957, and a Doctorate of Medicine in 1963, both from the University of Santo Tomas, in Manila.
Arturo is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Rosemary, his son Arturo and daughter-in-law Jennifer, son Michael and daughter-in-law Meghan, daughter Christina; and grandchildren Matthew, Timothy, and Emma.
The Regent’s Scholarship Program to fund the medical school education of deserving students with financial need at the University of Santo Tomas.
