Artie Holsombeck Duncan slipped gently from this world into the care of her Heavenly Father on April 24, 2012. For most of her 92 years, she led a life of joyful independence until her recent illness.
She was born in Heard County, Georgia on October 23, 1919 and was the daughter of George William and Mary Bryan Holsombeck. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Joe Duncan. She was a member of Stewart Road Baptist Church in Monticello, Georgia.
Surviving her is her step-son Charles Mahlon Duncan and his wife Brenda; her grandchildren, Craig Duncan, Lee Duncan and Leslie Storey and her husband Scott. There are five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Also surviving her is an extended family of nieces and nephews including Ken Holsombeck and his wife Joanne; Brenda Baker and her husband Mike.
