Arthur Thomas Dunn, Beloved Husband, Loving Dad and The Best Pop-Pop Ever, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022.
Arthur is the loving husband of Catherine (Ehrman), with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage. He truly had a zest for life, an infectious smile, a story, a shoulder, and that laugh! He never met a stranger and never failed a friend.
Arthur, “wee Artie” was born on May 14, 1942 and was raised in the Bronx, NY and attended St.
He retired to Tropic Harbor in Delray Beach and spent summers at his Maine home on Sheepscot Lake.
His greatest joy came from family time together. He was a consummate story teller and his favorites were his childhood memories, that only he could relate in such vivid ways! He loved to travel, play craps, coach his kids and dance with his ‘Toots.’ History was a favorite past-time as was anything sports, Let’s Go RU, NY Yankees, NY Giants!
Besides his wife Catherine, Arthur is survived and will be deeply missed by his children: Christine Hall, Monique Sola (Richard), Elizabeth Johnson (Daniel), Francoise Johnson, Christopher Dunn (Patti), Michelle Hess (Rick) and Lisa Carter. He also leaves 16 cherished grandchildren, each of whom he built unique and special bonds with, CJ, Cole, Tasia, Shanice, Drew, Tre, Shannon Rose, Eddie, Samantha, Bryan, Kenny, Jimmy, Susan, Carisa, Michael and Tommy; and 12 precious great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James Dunn (Monique) and treasured nieces and nephews. Arthur is predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Arthur, his sister Eileen Dunne, his brother-in-law Terence Dunne, his in-laws James and Ann Ehrman, and Daniel and Cheryl Myers.
