Arthur Royce Matson passed away on May 27, 2018. Born in Pasadena California, July 5, 1958 to Mryna and James Edward Matson. He is survived by his wife Vela Matson, his beloved and only son Christian Matson, his dear adored mother, Mryna Nielson, and adored brother Randy Matson. Also survived are his loved ones Marge Peck, Randy and Char Shepard and children, Reggie and Donna Shepard and family, Jerry Shepard and family, and step children Joshua Taylor, and Crystal Taylor. Royce loved his family so much, and missed them.
Arthur Royce Matson was a kind and giving man to all. He would help anyone he could. He was a loving soul to give his love and help. An angel to most. He worked as a truck driver most of his life, and 20 years of that delivering mail from Portland, Oregon to various cities in Wyoming, Oregon, and Idaho.
Arthur Royce Matson loved building and carpentry, greenhouse and loved growing his plants. He loved music so very much and was working on writing songs in his last days. He completed one, and seen to completion, by Johnathan Boogie Long, “Rebound Baby”. His last day he worked all day in the greenhouse, and seemed at peace enjoying himself. He loved his strawberry plants and tree. He also loved his kitties Jasmine and Charlie.
He was a man with so much love in his heart and caring. He loved his music, and felt it in his soul. He loved everyone, and always tried to help anyone he could.
Preceded of his death also loved ones, Father James Edward Matson, Sister in law Marlana Shepard, and Paul Stettler.
He would want to mention all of his loved ones in route, and his dear friends. An angel he will be missed for a long time, ‘till we can someday join him in Heaven and see him again. God bless him and the loved ones he has joined on the other side. We love you Royce.
