Arthur R. Crabtree, 88, Anderson, was called home by the Lord on November 6, 2007.
He was born February 11, 1919 in Mt. Pisgah, Kentucky. He moved to the New Castle/Anderson area until 1976. He and his wife then moved to Panama City, Florida and resided there until 2000. Arthur retired from Dolly Madison Cakes as a driver. He then worked for Bay Co. Land & Abstract Co, Panama City. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He loved his family, laughter and enjoyed people. He has been called a Christian Gentleman. He loved and played musical instruments, particularly the Steel and Spanish Guitar and piano.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years: Darla Moyer Crabtree. Children: June Mike Byrd of Florida, Susan Mike Ousley of Alexandria and the late John Arthur. Grandchildren: Jade Joy Byrne, Shane fiancee’ Stacey Tanner McKnight, Heather Julius Davis. Great Grandchildren: Damon Keesling, Bailey Filbrun and Ashley Filbrun. Several nieces, nephews; special friends, Thomas & Imogene McFarland and friends at Bay Co. Land & Abstract.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Rena Walters and John Cullen Crabtree. Siblings: Rev. O.C. Crabtree, Oliver Crabtree, Stella Tompkins, Jean Nelson, Doris Stacey and Eula Crabtree.
