Arthur L. Risley, 94, of Manchester husband of Marion (Malon) Risley passed away, Thursday, (February 25, 2016) peacefully at his home. Arthur was born September 25, 1921, in Versailles, CT, the son of the late Lyman F. and Evelyn (Cooley) Risley. Following his mother’s death at infancy, Arthur was raised by his loving grandparents Charles and Mary Cooley. He had been a life-long resident of Manchester. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Upon discharge he went to work at Cheney Mill and Pioneer Parachute. Over the years he also worked for Manchester Sand & Gravel, Iona Manufacturing and Pratt & Whitney.
