Arthur L. Hauser, 99, formerly of Princeton Avenue, died Monday, October 3, 2011 at Manor Care North following a lengthy illness.
Arthur retired in 1971 from the Penn Central Railroad after 33 years and had worked for 13 years at the former Sweet Steel Company. He was a member of St. Joseph the Workers Parish, Annunciation Church, loved his family and enjoyed gardening and hunting.
Born January 15, 1912 in Woodward Township, he was the son of John G. and Alice Bastian Hauser.
Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Mary (John) Haller of Williamsport; grandchildren, Kathy (Ray) Dimonda of Jacksonville, Fla. and Michael (Lisa) Hauser of Linden; great-grandchildren, Bridgette and Rachel Dimonda and Chaely and Brittany Hauser; and a great great-grandson, Eli.
Arthur was predeceased by his wife, the former Sophia K. Malner; a son, Arthur L. Hauser Jr.; brothers, Arch, Alvin, Gene, Charles, Boyd and Earl Hauser and a sister Zelma Eck.
