Arthur L. Kicker of Birmingham went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Lady Jane Kicker, parents, Margaret Gober Kicker and Euell Hyman Kicker and brother, Euell Hyman Kicker, Jr.. Arthur is survived by brothers, John Edward Kicker (Janet), Robert Durwood Kicker (Joe), and Charles Kenneth Kicker (Judi), step-sister, Peggy Harris, daughter, Melody Bedell (Michael), grandchildren, Alan Veasey (Janet) and Jennifer Yester (Scott), great grandchildren, Julia and Joshua Veasey, Jonathan and Jordan Wilson, and Courtney Yester, and a large number of nieces and nephews. Arthur was a man of service, first serving his country as a soldier in the United States Army, then his community as a store manager for A & P Tea Company and Western Supermarket. Finally, he served his God as a longstanding member of Brewster Road Alliance Church under the leadership of Pastor David Brown. Arthur leaves behind a lasting legacy of unwavering commitment to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a deep and devoted love for his family, and an ever burning desire to see this legacy passed on. Dad, PawPaw, Brother, Friend, may we live out the rest of our lives in honor of the God you taught us to serve and in all these things may you be proud.
