Arthur “Pappy” Fite, Jr., 71, Anderson, passed away May 13, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born February 4, 1941 in Anderson. Arthur was a 1959 graduate of Anderson High School. He retired as a process analyst from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1997. He was a member of the Dr. Camper Club, and Indiana Large Scale Model Railroaders. He enjoyed photography, Astronomy, Earth history, Geology, Paleontology, Archaeology, Anthropology, model building, NASCAR, Flying and NASA. He enjoyed being with family. He is survived by his children, Rick Miller Kathy of Ft. Wayne, Barry Fite Laura of California, Eddie Miller B.J. of Anderson, Bill Miller Sharon of Louisiana, Ron Miller of Anderson, Brent Fite Genevieve of Ohio, Judy DeWitt Don of Muncie, and Doug Miller of Anderson; sisters, Carol Fite Foland Thomas and Janice Fisher Giddens Terry; 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandkids; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Davidson Fite; Mother, Evelyn Wire Fite Fisher; fathers, Arthur D. Fite Sr. and Robert P. Fishers; and brothers, John Fisher and Benjamin Fite.
