Arthur Eugene, also known as Waddell, was born June 11,1936 in Memphis Tennessee to Arthur Waddell and Beulah Murray. The second child and oldest son of six children. Arthur Eugene accepted Christ at an early age, listening to his mother sing in the choir.
Admiring her from afar, Arthur met Mary Edna at a young age. Little did they know that their bond would grow into something beautiful.
Born to Arthur and Mary were seven children. Anita, two babies who passed shortly after birth, Monica, Arthur Eugene II, William who passed later in life, and Maurice. Arthur and Mary also took in his youngest brother Washington who they raised as their own and later their granddaughter Justine.
Arthur was an avid reader and lover of world history. He was enthusiastic about football and was a diehard Raiders fan. Arthur was known for his sweet potato pie, which he offered to family and friends during holidays as well as his famous Bar-B-Que sauce. He was also a part of the Aloha Vegas Bowling League. He was a lover of the Blues and played B.B. King any chance he had. Arthur also received his Associates degree in Material Management in 1978. He also worked as a supervisor at Linkabit. He remained there until he retired in 1991. Arthur also volunteered at Fulton Elementary as one of the directors of traffic for many years.
