Lisbon– Arthur B. Mitchell, 85, passed away on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Orchard Grove Specialty Care Center in Uncasville.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1927, in Norwich, CT, a son to the late Celia (Randall) and Herbert Mitchell. He is married to Pearl M. (Cloutier) Mitchell. She survives him. Arthur honorably served his country, within the United States Marine Corps during WWII and was last employed at Lehigh Oil as a warehouse manager.
In addition to his wife Pearl, Arthur is survived by his sons David Mitchell and wife Rhonda of Norwich, Lawrence Mitchell and wife Cathy of Waynesville, NC, James Mitchell and girlfriend Cynthia Thompson of Waterford; stepson Gary Gagne of Lisbon; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his daughter Barbara Parmenter; brothers Ralph and Frank Mitchell; sisters Anne Mitchell, Alice Cote and Grace Farrell.
