Arthur Adolph Giannetti
December 8, 1935 – March 5, 2022
Arthur A. Giannetti passed away on March 5, 2022 at the age of 86. He was born on December 8, 1935 in Stafford Springs, Connecticut to Adolph and Florence Giannetti, and was the loving husband to June Giannetti for 63 years.
Following high school, Art enlisted in the US Air Force where he spent four years stationed in Newfoundland, Canada. He was an active member of the VFW and played a key role in establishing a local chapter in his hometown of Oldsmar, Florida.
Art always dreamed of living in California, and in 1972 he turned that dream into reality. With his family and a few belongings loaded in a station wagon, he headed west and set off on an adventure into the unknown that would last 25 years.
Art began his career in the banking industry where he worked as an auditor.
Art’s passion for people was evident. His outgoing personality made him instantly likeable by everyone he encountered. He had friends on both coasts and everywhere in between. No matter where he was, he almost always encountered someone he knew and would immediately engage in friendly banter.
Art is survived by his wife, June Giannetti, of Oldsmar, Florida; two children: Lisa Dozois of Palm Harbor, Florida and Jeffrey Giannetti of Oldsmar, Florida; five grandchildren: Chris, Lea, Gina, Angela, and Victoria; and five great-grandchildren: Lily, Benson, Cole, Adelise, and Elias. He was preceded in death by his son Steven.
Art’s radiant smile and adventurous spirit will surely be missed.
