Arthur A. Rasimas, 87, of Newington, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 26, 2022. He grew up in Moscow, Pennsylvania. After high school, he attended Pennsylvania State University and then served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Corporal. He was a quality control manager with a distinguished career, having worked at area electrical manufacturing companies before retiring from the Department of Defense. He was recognized for his work on the NASA Space Shuttle Program and the Hubble Telescope among others. He loved sports, was captain of his high school basketball team, was an avid fisherman, loved kayaking, country music and enjoyed taking care of his yard and gardens. Most of all, he loved his was predeceased by his son, Thomas, brother Thomas, and sister Lillian (Rasimas) Browne. He is survived by his wife, Mary, son John and his wife Kathy, daughter Annmarie (Rasimas) Sullivan and her husband, Paul, and daughter-in-law Mary Conway. He is also survived by grandchildren Nicole (Rasimas) Lara and her husband Cesar, Andrea Rasimas, Kathryn and Brian Rasimas, and Julia Sullivan, his great-grandson C. Roman Lara, sister Dorothy (Ezak) and brother-in-law Jerry Griffin.
