Art Staggs, 78, passed away on November 4, 2021. He was born in 1943 in Des Moines, graduated from Des Moines Tech High School and joined the Air Force, and served in Vietnam.
He taught Automotive at Lincoln Technical Institute for 25 years, upon the closing of the school he worked for Penske Trucking for 10 years.
He was a proud member of the International Association of Machinists Union for 47 years, holding many positions and helping make the Labor Union Park.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, two sons, Eldon and David, and daughter, Meg, four grandchildren, a sister, Carol, and several nieces and nephews.
