Mr. Arnold William Stancil, age 84 of Clarkesville. Mr. Stancil passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Stancil was born Lumpkin County on January 6, 1926 to Emory Stancil and Mattie Bell Edmundson Stancil. He served with honor in the United States Navy, He retired the Gwinnett County Highway Department after a long and distinguished career. Mr. Stancil was of the Methodist faith and was attending the Rock of Cleveland. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bennie Ruth Jarrard Stancil and great granddaughter, Natalie McClure
