Arnold W. Haugeberg, July 8, 1937 – April 18, 2017.

Mr. Haugeberg died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Haugeberg was born July 8, 1937, in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Arthur and Mabel (Nicholiason) Haugeberg.  He married Shirley Ann Dvorak February, 21, 1964.

Mr. Haugeberg was a graduate of North Dakota State University and received his Masters Degree from Arkansas State University.   He served 23 years in the United States Air Force.  He was a Vietnam Veteran and received the Distingushed Flying Cross, the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Medal with Oak Leaf Clusters.  He retired as Lt. Col. in July 1979.

After the military Mr. Haugeberg enjoyed a career as an Ag Science teacher in Granger and Belton. He began at Granger High School in 1981 and taught for 3 years. He continued at Belton High School in 1984 and taught for 11 years before he retired. Following his teaching career, he also worked for the Belton Small Animal Clinic for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Shirley Haugeberg of Belton; one son Eric Haugeberg and wife Stacy of Belton; twin brother Arvid Haugeberg and wife Ruth of Billings, Montana; two grandchildren, Brooke and Brett Haugeberg; sister-in-law, Majorie Krueger of Belton and numerous nieces and nephews.
