Arnold Joseph Schlottmann departed this life on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at the age of 93. He was married to the late Carmella “Mel” Collura Schlottmann, his beloved wife of 61 years.
He was born in New Orleans, LA on October 27, 1929 to the late Arnold Robert Schlottmann and Anna McClaine Schlottmann. He was a resident of Carriere, MS since 1975. Arnold was a graduate of Warren Easton High School and Loyola University in New Orleans, and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Korea in 1952 and 1953. He was employed by Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corp. in Chalmette, LA for 34 years, retiring in 1989.
He is survived by his children, Richard A. (Joan) Schlottmann, Glenda S. Bartley, Gary B. Schlottmann, and Troy E. (Mary Ann Martin) Schlottmann; grandchildren, April L. (Robert) Arnone, Craig R. (Shannon) Schlottmann, Timmy A. Labat, Dawn S. (Sean) Reardon, Kelly A. Hotard, Tristan L. Schlottmann, Kyan E. Schlottmann, and Braydan T. Schlottmann; great-grandchildren, Henry Schlottmann, Genevieve Schlottmann, Kendall Reardon, and Caroline Reardon.
He was preceded in death by his cousin and close friend, Joseph B. Duteil and son-in-law, D. Patrick Bartley.
