Arlene was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amanda Fosnight; her son, Brent (Charlie) Fosnight; and her ex-husband, Brent Fosnight. Arlene is survived by her three daughters: Kathleen (Fosnight) Williams, Cynthia (Fosnight) Romano and Kimberly (Fosnight) Duran; her grandchildren: Erin Williams, Michael Williams, Connor Williams, Katelyn (Meister) Keys, Rebecca (Meister) Chavez, Samantha (Fosnight) Purviance and Laurel Fosnight; and her great-grandchildren: Adriana Purviance, Aksel Purviance and Ellis Keys. Arlene married Brent Fosnight on June 20, 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, and moved to Colorado to start their family. They were together until their divorce in 1991. After their divorce, Arlene went back to school and obtained her certified nurse’s aide certification (CNA). She worked at the Denver Hospice for more than seventeen years. During those years Arlene traveled abroad three times, once to Africa (Kenya and Tanzania) with Hospice, a cruise up to Canada, and to central Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Hungary, where her father was born). For 56 plus years, Arlene bowled on a league every Wednesday. She loved bowling! Arlene was also a member of Pax Cristi Ecumenical Catholic Community and the United States Bowling Congress. In 2000, she fought a battle of stage III colon cancer and beat it. Then in 2011, Arlene had a heart attack and required six stents. She then retired from Hospice. On Saturday, June 3, 2017, Arlene had a massive Stroke, due to an aortic dissection. She then took her last breath on earth and her first breath in Heaven at midnight on June fourth. Arlene will be missed by the many lives that she touched as a mom, a grannie, great grannie, friend, and CNA.
