Arlene Florence Auginash, age 56, of Redby, MN began her spiritual journey on February 12, 2017 at the Altru Hospital in Grand Fork, ND. She was born on November 21, 1960 in Red Lake, the daughter of Richard and Lucille (Jourdain) Auginash.
Arlene was a wonderful cook who made fry bread like no other. She was called the family chef because she would cook all the time, she was also known as the family hairstylist and would give perms to everyone. Arlene had her own food stand at the local pow-wows known as Arlene’s Fry Bread. Everyone loved her fry bread. She also used her cooking talents at the Jourdain-Perpich Nursing home in Red Lake. She loved taking the residents on trips and cooking for them. Arlene liked putting together puzzles, and going to the casino before she became sick. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
The family that Arlene joins again are her father; Richard Auginash, sister; Jean Auginash, brother; Russell Jourdain, niece; Gerrilyn Auginash, paternal and maternal grandparents, numerous other relatives.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her mother; Lucille Auginash of Redby, her significant other of 29 years; Clyde Graves, sons; Richard Auginash of Wisconsin, and Ryan Graves of Redby, daughters; Brittany Auginash of Redby, Kimberly Auginash of Thief River Falls, MN, and Laura Sumner of Redby, brothers; Gary Auginash, Sr. of Redby, and Jerry Auginash of Minneapolis, sisters; Debbie (Chuck) Barrett, Bev Schoenborn, Ruth Auginash, and Ann (Loren Stillday) Auginash all of Redby, grandchildren; Alexis Wood, Allyssa and Angelina Sumner, Aubrey and Audrey Cook, Nessa and Jordan Kingbird, and Brooklyn Auginash Roybal.
