Arlene Genevieve (Fogle) Kelley, 89 years old, of Williamsport, PA passed away after a short illness on Thursday, April 8, 2010 just one month short of her 90th birthday. Her late husband, Alfred Kelley died on February 7, 2006 after 65 years of marriage. She leaves behind her three children and six grandchildren, sons, Ron Kelley and his wife Sue, who live in Prescott Valley, AZ (and his daughter Brecke Dowling of Boulder, CO); Ted Kelley and his wife Suzanne of North Attleboro, MA (and their children, daughter Kristin Kelley and her husband Denis Fleming of Stoughton, MA; and son, Gregory Kelley of Somerville, MA); and daughter, Kay Young and her husband Jerry of Williamsport (and their three daughters, Kaitlyn and her husband, Patrick of New Columbia, Sairin, of Pittsburgh and Chessa, a student at Lock Haven University.

Mrs. Arlene Kelley was the youngest of two daughters. Her oldest sister, Dorothy Rook, lives in Trout Run.

Arlene had a very strong work ethic and had worked at Sears, Roebuck in two states and at least in 4 different stores for over 20 years. She also had a strong sense of responsibility and passed that trait on to her three children. When younger, Arlene was very fond of sports and was considered a pretty good basketball player in high school. She had been known to still be able to do head stands well into her late 60’s!

She was born in Williamsport on May 9, 1920 but had lived almost her entire life in Williamsport with her husband Alfred. For several years they had resided in Allentown, PA and for one year in Champaign, IL. She has been inseparable from her husband and they would never be seen without the other.
