The daughter of Ira and Laura (Eggert) Charlesworth, Arlene was born October 13, 1927 in Newton. She graduated from Newton High School in 1945. Arlene married Howard Peters, Jr., on October 6, 1950 in Newton.
Arlene worked in the office at the Parsons Company. After the birth of her son, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, David; her 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Lauren and Madeline Peters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard, on August 30, 2007; and her sister, Eloise Wormley.
