Those left to honor Arlan’s memory are his son, Kori Cunningham of Newton; daughter, Mandi Cunningham of Newton; his one grandchild on the way; 3 brothers, Alan (Vicki) Cunningham of Colfax, Iowa, Glenn (Deb) Cunningham of Monroe, Iowa and Patrick (Kelly) Knowles of Monroe; his 7 sisters, Naomi (John) Hurst of Davenport, Iowa, Denise (John) Pettedof Colfax, Kathy Miller of Davenport, Sue (Bobby) Schutty of Marion, Iowa, Marla (Ed) Logue of Mingo, Iowa, Sally (Alan) Walker of Newton, and LaVone Cunningham of Newton; many nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Tanya Cunningham; his best friend for life, Diane Henning; and the Monteleone Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Scott “Zeke” and Marcella Marie (Spilski) Cunningham; sister, Marsha Lynn; and his brother, Earl Dean.
Arlan graudated from Monroe High School in 1968 and worked at the Maytag Company for 31 years, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 111, Local 997 Retirees Union, and the Moose Lodge.
