Aristidis Mihalopoulos, 54, of New Haven passed away on March 22, 2014. Born in Makrisia, Greece on Feb. 27, 1960, he was the son Athonasios and Haralamba Papafotopoulos Mihalopoulos. A graduate of Paier College of Art, Aristides was a gifted painter, avid soccer player and a seasoned traveler. He was a much loved and respected employee of the Sandpiper Restaurant in East Haven. Artie was a kind, generous and fun loving soul who touched thelives of many Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Joanna (Mike) Bonatsakis of Wethersfield; his niece, Maria (Kosta) Myzithras of Newtown; two nephews, Nick (Kelly) Bonatsakis of Boston and Chris Bonatsakis of Wethersfield; and a grand nephew, Lucas.
