Aristides J. Millas born in Trenton, NJ on APril 12, 1933 to James Aristidis Millas and Helen Stillano Millas passed away peacefully on November 17 surrounded by his family.
In 1974, Ari joined the University of Miami School of Architecture. He was most proud of the work done by his students that laid the groundwork for the Art Deco District to become part of the National Historic Register. Many of his students projects won awards by the AIA and the City of Coral Gables. He retired in 2015 after 14 years of teaching. If architecture was his first love, his second was his wife, Carol. He loved to brag that they met on a blind date on Miami Beach in 1977. They travelled much of the world together. He is survived by his wife, brother, his stepchildren, grandchildren. He is predeceased by his most beloved grandson, Maxwell.
