Ms. Argie Harris Moore Footes was the daughter of the late Church Harris and Ella Harris.
Argie Harris was born on May 15, 1929 in Greenville, North Carolina. She was one of eleven children ~ seven sisters and three brothers ~ Beaulah May Moore, Ella Lousie Langley, Zula B. Morris, Johnny James/Ella Harris, Lucy Harding, Martha Phillips, Karen Harris, Cera Rogers, Leonard Harris and Omster Harris. Argie attended high school and received her diploma. Not long after she got married to her sweetheart Essie Moore and they gave birth to their only child Argie Bell Moore born on February 14, 1948. At an early age Argie Harris Moore left North Carolina and moved to Brooklyn, New York.
Argie was employed at Coney Island Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse for over 30 years. She was also a longtime employee at Parkshore Rehabilitation Nursing Home. Argie Harris Moore later married Mr. Willie Footes who is now deceased. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she is loved by many.
She quietly departed this life on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Dr. Susan B. Smith McKinney Nursing/Rehabilitation Center in Brooklyn at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her daughter Argie Bell Moore and her husband Willie Footes.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sisters: Beaulah May Moore, Ella Louise Langley, Zula B. Morris and her brother Johnny James Harris/Ella Harris. Her Grandchildren: Michael A. Moore, Tonia Y. Moore-Kinsey, Tranesha S. Moore, Great Grandchildren: Tanea Washington, Jahquan Moore, Michael Moore Jr., Malique Minter, Shelby Moore, Gabriel Moore, Tyson Williams and Kayla Moore. Great Great Grandchild Sanai M. Moore and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
