Aretta B. Rich, 90 years of age, passed away September 30,2021 at her home in Toney, Alabama. Mrs. Rich was a life long resident of Madison County, the daughter of George Albert and Savonia McClure Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Ed Rich; brothers Thomas H. and William J. Bailey; sisters Thelma B. White and Anna M. Williams.
Mrs. Rich is survived by her son Carlos Johnson Jr and wife Cheryl of Toney: granddaughter Kristie Carter, husband Brad: grandsons Bentley and Baron Carter of Hazel Green: and sister Martha B. Mantler and husband Milton of Gurley. She had many nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
She was a devout Christian and active in her Church family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister deeply loved by all. She was a long time employee of Redstone Arsenal Support Group/U.S Army Missile Command. Aretta was a warm and loving person who showed kindness to everyone she knew. This love and kindness was returned by the people to whom it was given. She will be greatly missed by all.
