Ardis O. Bailey, 90, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011, at Liberty Village in Muncie. She was born in Jay County, Indiana, February 1, 1920, the daughter of Walter and Vivian Albright Garinger. She attended school in Portland and graduated from Portland High School in 1938.
Mrs. Bailey was secretary for the Selma High School and Wapahani High School.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Selma Woman’s Club.
Surviving are her son, David W. Bailey, (wife, Susan McMullin), Selma; her daughter, Marilyn Fernandez-Vizarra, Huesca, Spain; four grandchildren, Cameron McMullin Bailey, Erika, Sergio and Angela Fernandez-Vizarra; two sisters, Mignon Windmiller, North Manchester, and Katherine Michael, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira M. Bailey, who died in 2008; and her brother, Alan Garinger.
