Ardis Imogene Fuhrman (Ardie) was born in Cortland, Nebraska on February 17, 1933. Her family moved to Wilber, Nebraska in 1935.
Ardie grew up in a wonderful family with her brother Dr. Jerry Fuhrman and sister Judy Ebbers. Wilber is a small rural town, south of Lincoln, with an outstanding school district. The High School had many opportunities for the students and Ardie took advantage of many of them.
