Mr. Ardie B. Orr was born June 1, 1934 in Morgan County to the late Fred Douglas Orr and the late Ivory Carquit Orr. He confessed hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Providence Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. Orr worked at Wood Reel in Hartselle, Alabama for 23 years before he retired.
Mr. Orr passed this life on February 6, 2015 at Decatur Morgan Hospital-Decatur General Campus.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife: Izora Orr of Danville; three sons, Ardie Lee (Tracy) of Frankenmuth, MI, Mack Orr of Danville and L. G. (Amanda) Orr of Danville; three daughters, Susie (Kenneth) Brackins of Decatur, Jessica (Kenneth) Morrow of Hartselle and Alexis (Calvin) Powers of Hartselle; one sister, Ruth Batts of Danville; God blessed him with 22 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by the Providence Missionary Baptist Church Family.
