Arden “Artie” Miller, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at ManorCare, Bethlehem. He was the loving husband of Betty (Hein) Miller with whom he shared 28 years of loving marriage. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Franklin and Violet (Remaley) Miller.
Artie honorably served his country in the United States Marines as a corporal. He was very athletic and thoroughly enjoyed football. He was the starting quarterback for Liberty High School from 1952-1954. His family joke was ” when Lenny Moore ran around me for the 3rd time playing defense, I told the coach to take me out”. He also loved to travel to the warmer climates. He was employed at EatMore Fruit Company of Allentown for most of his life.
Survivors: He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betty; son Richard Meza, Jr. of Bethlehem Township; daughter Tami Lee Terleski of Bethlehem; grandson Derek William Antol of Allentown; sister Joan Oberrender of South Carolina; niece Susan Murphy and husband John; and nephew George “Skip” Oberrender and wife Deena.
