Ardelle (Munson) Hagenbuch, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 11, at Liberty Village in Peru. Mrs. Hagenbuch was born in LaSalle on her mother’s birthday, January 29, 1929, to Walter W. and Verne (Hess) Munson.

She attended the Waltham Center Grade School and was a graduate of Mendota High School. She was married for 69 years to Melvin A. Hagenbuch. They were married on December 11, 1948, at the Waltham Presbyterian Church. Greatly loved by her family and friends, Mrs. Hagenbuch enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, quilting hundreds of quilts with her sisters, antiquing across the United States, and helping her husband with their Waltham Township farm. She was an outstanding seamstress and cook, greatly known for her pies and always ready to give a cookie to one of her three grandchildren. She had a kind and gentle soul and will be missed by all. She was a long-time member of the Waltham Presbyterian Church, a former 4-H Club leader, and a member of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Hagenbuch is survived by her husband Melvin, of Waltham, son David (Cynthia) Hagenbuch of Waltham, daughter Diane (David Williamson) Hagenbuch of Waynesville, NC, and grandchildren, Tyler (Jamie Citron) Hagenbuch of Chicago, Travis Hagenbuch of Los Angeles, and Tahnee (Nathan) Steinkamp of Albers, IL.

She is also survived by her sisters Shirley Duttlinger of LaSalle and Ruth Ann Strong of Elburn, as well as a bother, Warren Munson of Utica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Duane and Wesley Munson, and a sister Margery Jansen,
