Born Sept. 18, 1912, in Peru, he was the son of Roy Edward and Katie Seffel Flora. He was married in 1950 to Marjorie Helen Plothow, who preceded in death in 2003.
Ardean had been employed as a boilermaker for the C&O Railroad in Peru. He then worked for many years as a custodian at St.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, MarDean and Dave Oresik, Logansport, and Ardell and Ski Polenski, Portsmouth, Va.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Flora; grandsons, Eric Thornton, Rowdy Hudson and Bobby Smith; two brothers and one sister.
