Archie Lee Williams was a native of the Rockville community and a deacon at Mt. Olive No. 1 Baptist Church in Rockville. He was employed at Canfor Southern Pine for 40 years. The son of the late Calvin Williams and Martha Hughes-Williams, Archie was 60 years of age. He departed this life Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 while at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster. Archie enjoyed working and spending the rest of his time with family and friends. He was also an avid Florida State fan.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Lori Ann Williams; his parents; two sisters, Rosie Lee Sims and Ruth Ann Martin; five brothers, Calvin Williams Jr., Frankie Lee Jackson, Bennie Williams, Nathaniel Jackson and Charles Williams.
Left to cherish his precious memories are three children, Latedra (Derrick) Taylor of Jackson, Archie (Kawana) Brown and Latia Brown of Rockville; six grandchildren, Keyshawn Taylor, Keshanti Taylor, Damian Taylor, Armani Brown, Amarion Brown and Jakaida Ezell; three sisters, Retha Mae Kirby of Anniston, Susie Lee Williams and Linda Faye (Eddie) Martin of Rockville; two brothers, David Williams of Gainesville, Fla.
