Archie J.
He was born July 29, 1936 in Glasgow, KY to the late Charles Pickett and Della McCoy.
Archie married Helen Buchanan Joering and they later divorced.
Archie was a well-respected horseman known around the world for his abilities to trade and train horses and was a licensed livestock dealer, handling thousands of horses over the years.
He was a life member of both A.Q.H.A and N.R.H.A. and was a past Shadeland Town Board member.
Archie was proud of his children and grandchildren’s accomplishments and enjoyed his work.
Surviving are his life partner of 36 years, Jan Corum, his children, Cathy Crane (husband Joe) of Lebanon, PA, Mike Pickett (wife Laura) of Shadeland, Lisa Pickett (companion Curt Shepard) of Lafayette and Scott J. Pickett (wife Stacey) of Clarks Hill. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a niece.
Archie was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Wingate.
