Arabelle V. Valentine, age 87, of Emmitsburg, Maryland died peacefully on Friday, May 21, 2010 at St. Catherine’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Emmitsburg.
Born August 2, 1922 in Taneytown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. and Alva S. Catherine (Eyler) Fogle. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Valentine in 1986.
She was a farmer alongside her husband for many years, and had retired from St. Joseph’s Provincial House as a dietary aide.
Surviving are children, Catherine Fogle Pittinger of Emmitsburg, and Steven W. Valentine and wife Amy of Emmitsburg; grandchildren Pamela Rinehart Polk and Tara Nicole Speak; great-grandchildren Sara Maring and Nicole Speak; siblings Thomas B. Fogle of Emmitsburg, Isabelle Falcone of Emmitsburg, MaryAnna Buffington of New Midway, and Madeline Warner of Taneytown. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by siblings C. Marie Fogle, Harry M. Fogle, Oscar A. Fogle, Sr., Floyd S. Fogle, and William E. Fogle.
