Apolinario Ferrares Morante, 75, of Oxnard, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2013 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 22, 1938 in Mandurriao, IloIlo City, Philippines to the union of Maximo G. Morante and Rufina S. Ferrares and had been a county resident for 45 years.
Prior to his retirement, Apolinario proudly served our country for 22 years in United State Navy.
Apolinario is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Josie H. Morante; his children, Jocelyn Morante Palmer (Husband, Clay Palmer), Jarvis Morante and Janet Morante LaFauci (husband, Rick LaFauci); including siblings, Leticia, Elsie, Alfonso and Victor.
Viewing is planned for Wednesday and Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Nov. 20 and 21, with the recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m.
