Antonio “Tony” Ramirez

1.17.1943 – 2.10.2022

Antonio “Tony” Ramirez passed away on February 10, 2022. He was born and raised in Azusa, where he remained the majority of his life. Tony was the second oldest of four children and grew up in a modest home with his siblings. He attended Catholic school from grade school through high school and appreciated the value of his education. He attended Citrus College, and eventually graduated from Cal State Los Angeles with his bachelor’s degree.

Tony worked at an early age and all through college to help support his mother and siblings. He had a natural gift for art and drawing, and he put his talent to good use during his many years at ExhibitGroup until his retirement. He loved designing things, whether it was furniture, car prototypes, or a tradeshow exhibit. He also had an eye for photography and loved chronicling his many travels around the world and his love of cars and food on film.

One of Tony’s greatest joys was having people gathered at his table, especially on Christmas morning. He cherished every person who was seated at the table that he had designed and built: family and friends, but especially his mom, his kids and grandkids, and his longtime companion Donna. And you had to be sure to save room for dessert because something sweet was always served right after a meal!

Tony had an enthusiasm for learning – whether it was his investments, cars, photography, a new recipe, an electric vehicle, or solar power – and he would talk for hours about his latest interest. Tony dedicated his entire life to taking care of his family and has passed on many of his endearing qualities to his son and daughter.

Tony is survived by his children Rich Ramirez (Karine), and Melissa Moore (Doug); his grandchildren Ria Brigmann, Alicia Ramirez, Zachary Moore, Dylan Moore, and Violet Moore; and his brothers Fernando and Ron Ramirez. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary and mother Piedad.
