Antonio (Tony) Licciardi died on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Beverly Hospital. The son of the late Emelio and Caterina Licciardi, he was born in Apice, Italy, and moved to America in 1970 shortly after his marriage to Elena in Italy. They settled in Everett and had two sons before moving to West Peabody. He built his dream home in Middleton where he lived for the past twenty years.
Tony worked in construction for many years before retiring due to injury. Tony was a humble man of great kindness and generosity of spirit. He loved and appreciated earthly things and gave as much back to the land as he took from it. He was well known as a gardener and shared his bounty of fruits and vegetables with friends and neighbors. He was always willing to help a friend prune a grape arbor or a fruit tree and he knew exactly what time of year it needed to be done.
In addition to his wife, Elena, he leaves and will always live in the hearts of his son Michael and his wife Valeri of North Andover, his son Carmen and his wife Eve, and his granddaughter, Talia, his brothers, Francesco of Revere, Michele of Apice, Italy ,and Giusseppe of Saugus. He was predeceased by his sister Rosa and his parents of Apice, Italy. Talia will especially miss working on art projects with her Nonno Tony.
