Antonio “Dody” Spagnuolo, 77, of Shinnston passed away suddenly on February 24, 2017 at his “happy” place, his gas station “Spags”, with his sons beside him. He was born February 25, 1939 in Gypsy, WV; to the late Antonio and Lucy Moschella-Spagnuolo.

Dody is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 32 years, Mary K. Talerico-Spagnuolo; five children, who worshipped and adored him, Lucy Renee Spagnuolo of Jacksonville, FL, Simeon Anthony Spagnuolo and wife Frankie Jo of Vero Beach, FL, Melissa Ann Spagnuolo-Lupinski and husband Gary of Lake Mary, FL, Mario Brian Spagnuolo and wife Lora of Bridgeport, WV and Eric “Jason” Belcastro and wife Jaime of Shinnston, WV; his most loyal friend in this world, his dog, Duke. He leaves behind the joy of his life, eleven grandchildren, Breanna Bart, Zachary and Alec Spagnuolo, Mikayla and Olivia Lupinski, Antonio, Elizabeth and Lucca Spagnuolo, Anthony Belcastro, Kyler and Tyus Smallwood; two great granddaughters, Isabella Gump, Zoey Palmer. One infant granddaughter, Brittnai Bart, preceded him in death.

Dody was one of thirteen children; he is survived by his sister, Carmella Ewart and husband Jack of Good Hope, WV; one brother, Ralph Spagnuolo and wife Viviane of Shinnston, WV. He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Edrick, Roger, Louie, Pete, Joey, Neil, Manuel, Antonio, Jr.; two sisters, Mary and Anna Mae. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dody owned and operated Spag’s gas station and Spag’s Bail Bonds on Chestnut Street in Clarksburg, for over 40 years.
