Antonino Savona, age 87, from Hopewell Junction, New York passed away Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Bridgeport Hospital. Antonino was born in New York in 1919 and at the age of eight months went to Sciara Sicily. Where he spent the next 42 years. While in Sicily, he met and married his wife of almost 50 years, Rosa DiNuovo Savona. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Nick Savona and his wife, Doreen of Bethel, his daughter Francesca DePietro and her husband, Paul and their daughter, Rebecca, all of Stratford, two brothers, Nicasio Savona of Avon,CT and Ciano Savona of Ellington, CT, three sisters, Lucia Fragale and Filippa Guzzetta both of New York, and Madre Superiore Suora Fortunata Savona of Italy.
