Antoinette E. Toni (Battaglia) Diddle, 79, of Peru, passed away Wednesday morning, May 25, 2016 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru.
Mrs. Diddle was born October 27, 1936 in LaSalle to August and Elsie (Gascoyne) Battaglia. She married John B. Diddle on November 27, 1954 at Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle. She was a member of St. Thomas More Church in Dalzell. She worked at Westclox, Peru TV Cable and Board of Realtors. Toni was a volunteer for many local organizations including Lighted Way, Brownie Troop Leader, PTA President, L-P Band Parents Association and was on the board and a coach for Peru Girls Softball (Vlastniks).
After the birth of her grandchildren she retired to spend more time with them and also enjoyed taking cruises with her husband John.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Lorin) Waller of Macomb and Lori (Jim) Tipton of Dalzell; two granddaughters, Katie Tipton and Sarah Tipton; one grandson, Jimmy Tipton; two sisters, Pat Schmidt of LaSalle and Jeri (Bill) Pollett of Branson, MO; and her beloved dog Molly Sue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John on March 4, 2007 and her parents.
