Antoinette M. “Toni” Essl, 90, of 1883 Hennepin St LaSalle, died peacefully and surrounded by her family at home on August 18,2014.
Mrs. Essl was born in LaSalle on July 6, 1924 to Joseph and Mary (Pirc) Miklavcic. She married George J. Essl on October 4, 1947. Mrs. Essl worked with her brother Ray in his catering business and then was a homemaker. She was a former member of St.
Mrs. Essl is survived by her beloved husband George of 66 years; one daughter, Ellen (Reynaldo) Mesa of Garden City, KS; two sons, Gerry (Jeanie) Essl of Dallas, TX and Joseph Essl of Spring Valley; nine grandchildren and five great granddaughters; one sister Dorothy (Sam) Scacciferro of LaSalle; two brothers, Edward (Lois) Miklavcic of Wisconsin and Raymond Miklavcic of LaSalle; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Donald Smudzinski; three brothers, Hank, Pete and Joe Miklavcic; five sisters, Mary Waligora, Ann Serri, Tillie Padawan, Josie Spayer and Louise Moellering.
