Antoine Gerard Duchatelier Sr., 97, of Fayetteville, NC died peacefully at his home Saturday, September 3, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Duchatelier was born in Saint Marc, Haiti on July 21, 1925, son to the late Victor Duchatelier & Rose Ostin. He received a Bachelors in Engineering before coming to the United States in 1969. Before retiring, he worked as a Hydraulic Mechanic for Kaizer Aluminum. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gerardite Duchatelier; his daughter, Marie Duchatelier; his siblings, Adeline Duchatelier, Chrestian Duchatelier (KIKI), Paul Wadestrand Ostin, Simone Wadestrand Ostin and his sister-in-law, Jane Ostin.
Mr. Duchatelier is survived by his son, Antoine Duchatelier Jr. (Audrey), of Fayetteville, NC; his grandson, Richard Thomas (Beatriz), of the home; his three granddaughters, Minouchka White (Vincent), of Atlanta, GA, Antoinette Duchatelier-Spolarich (Justin), of Fayetteville, NC; and Angelique Duchatelier, of Fayetteville, NC; a great-granddaughter, Eadaoin Duchatelier-Spolarich, of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of extended family members and friends.
