Antoine “Tony” C. Albert, 80, of O’Fallon IL, born February 17, 1934 in East St. Louis, IL, died on Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Tony was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, and was a retired truck driver from Switzers Wholesale. Tony was a handyman and enjoyed wood working, shooting, gardening, and marksmanship.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Etta Mae, nee Fox, Albert; and wife Shirley, nee Phillips, Albert. Surviving are his children, Sandra & Brian Metze, and Patrick and Beth Albert; grandchildren, Michael & Terra Metze, Amanda & Anthony Whitfield, Natalie Metze, Nicole Albert, Sarah Albert, and Megan Albert; and great-grandchildren Bailey Kruse, Jalen Metze, and Anthony Whitfield II. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Chapter of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation.
