Antoine Bourdeau Mercy was born to the parentage of Mr. Bourdeau Mercy and Resinette Volcy on August 6, 1954 in Decareau, Haiti. “Barak” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends completed his primary schooling in Haiti. In 1981, a new life began as our Heavenly Father guided Antoine into making the United States of America his permanent home.
As a loving and caring man, Antoine pledged his love unconditionally to the love of his life, Marie Mona Prince, on the year of 1982. The Lord blessed their union with 5 (five) beautiful children 1 girl and 4 boys: Antonia Mercy, Junior Mercy, Riquerson Mercy (the twins) Markathur Mercy and Markentouch Mercy. Antoine was a hard working father who strived to succeed and who cared deeply for his children, family and friends. He loved his family and his family loved and cherished him in return. He instilled the highest level of morals and values into his children who will undoubtedly pass on the same teachings to their children as part of his legacy. His interesting stories about himself which were life lessons for him to his children will be cherished and carried around in our lives forever. He was very over protective for his longtime love Marie Mona Prince and children. They will always remember him as the devoted lover and a great poppy that he was.
John’s love and devotion flowed from his heart to his family and then his community. He had a giving heart. As a faithful servant of the Lord, he loved to share words of encouragement with everyone in his life touched.
Antoine leaves behind a legacy of greatness that must have no ending. We must continue what he has started here in this life. He will be remembered for all his kind ways towards everyone.
On Saturday, December 30,2012, Antoine Bourdeau Mercy entered into paradise. We know that he is gone in the flesh but he will always be in our hearts. His kindness can never be replaced. He will never be forgotten. Poppy aka Diddy aka Barak aka Gwo Neg
