Anthony W. “Tony” Stephen, 69, of Bloomington, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2010 doing what he loved most, singing on stage surrounded by family. Tony was born on October 31, 1941 in Monroe County and was the son of Thomas and Dorothy (Helms) Stephen.
Tony had worked at RCA, MCCSC and for the past 28 years he performed with Sheila and Randy and their family’s band. He also owned Coverall Upholstery with his wife Linda. He was a member of Hillside Church of Christ and the NRA.
Survivors include his wife Linda Stephen of Bloomington, daughter Sheila Stephen-Bruce (Perry) of Bloomington, two sons, Randy Stephen (Hiedi) of Bloomington and Rick Stephen of Bloomington. Tony is also survived by his grandchildren Lance Stephen, Amber Stephen, Sage Stephen (Courtney), Garrett Bruce, Griffin Bruce, Cami Prince, Cali Prince, Cody Prince, and great grandchildren Kiana and Kamren Carver. He was preceded in death by his parents, biological father Bill Nichols, infant sister Beverly Nichols and brother John Stephen.
