Anthony “Tony” Roy Sparks, 40, was born in Durango, Colorado on August 30, 1981, to Jerry and Lorie Sparks of Canon City, Colorado. Tony had a huge heart and was loved by many friends and family. He was an outstanding softball and baseball player and played in many tournaments. He donated many hours working with special needs children and was recently working on his degree to become a certified dog trainer.
Tony is survived by his son, Derrick Sparks of Albuquerque, New Mexico; mother, Lorie and father, Jerry; brothers, Chris (Shannon) Sparks, Cody (Mercedes) Sparks; nephews, Jacob and Henry; and niece, Paisley. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Gillis of Las Vegas, Nevada.
