Anthony “Tony” Barela, 44, passed away on October 16th, 2021. A lifelong Puebloan, he was born to Anthony Barela Sr. and Julie Lucero on April 2nd, 1977. He is preceded in death by grandparents, John J. Valdez, Joe and Mary Barela and stepdad Tim Lucero.
Tony was a graduate of East High school and worked as a carpenter. He was known for always wearing Levi’s, Converse and a fresh t-shirt. His girl’s, Shilo and Serenity were his pride and joy. Riding his motorcycle was his greatest joy and made him feel free.
Tony is survived by, parents, Anthony Barela Sr., Julie Lucero, siblings, Darlene (James) Williams, Derek (Alicia) Barela, stepsister, Tammy Lobato, stepbrother Fabian Lucero, half siblings Justin Barela and Ireland Barela, children, Shilo Barela and Serenity Barela, grandparents, Vera Valdez, mother of his children, Crystal Parra, nieces and nephews, Essence, Christopher, Joseph, Gauge, Kayla, Devin and great nephew, Liam and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
